2024 Direct School Admission - Junior Colleges (DSA-JC) for Admission to JC1 in 2025

CJC invites applications for direct admission to JC1 in 2025 from studentswho are outstanding in at least one area of talents / skills listed inthe table below. Successful applicants may be considered for one of the10 FLAME scholarships availableto JC1 students with exceptional strengths and/or abilities in leadershipand CCA.

DSA Talent Areas

We are looking for students who are outstanding in the following areas:

Applicants are to focus on only one area of expertise or talent intheir application.

Application Procedures

1. To apply, please register via the Online DSA Application Systemfrom7May to 19 August 2024.

2. The following supporting documents are to be included in the online application:

   • Sec 3 Progress Reports & End-of-Year Examination results slipsor equivalent;

   • Sec 4 Term 1 & 2 Continual Assessment results slip or equivalent;

   • Latest available NAPFA test results (for talent areas in Sports)

   • CCA & VIA records (for 2023 and 2024);and

   • Personal Statement.

   Incomplete submissions willnotbe considered.

3. Application periods for the two phases are as follows:

Trial/ Audition Process

For DSA-JC (Phase 1),

• Short-listed applicants will be invited for in-person auditions/trials from 10 May 2024 onwards.

• Students are reminded to be punctual for trials/auditions and are requiredto be in their Secondary School sports attire or school uniform.

• Having granted a trial/audition does not mean that the DSA-JC applicationhas been successful.

For DSA-JC (Phase 2),

• Short-listed applicants will be invited for in-person auditions/trials from 17 July 2024 onwards.

• Students are reminded to be punctual for trials/auditions and are requiredto be in their Secondary School sports attire or school uniform.

• Having granted a trial/audition does not mean that the DSA-JC applicationhas been successful.

Selection Process

For DSA-JC (Phase 1),

• Only short-listed candidates will be invited foran interview between 20 May and 11 August 2024.

• More information will be provided to the applicants by email at leastone week before the interview date.

• Final decision will be made by the Interview Panel after the interview.

Successful candidates will receive a Letter of Offer by 12 August 2024.They are required to accept our offer by 3 pm, Tuesday, 14 August 2024. Bothstudents and their parents will be notified by email.

Short-listed applicants who are not offered a place in the DSA-JC (Phase1) will be notified via email.

For DSA-JC (Phase 2),

• Only short-listed candidates will be invited foran interview between 22 July and 5 September 2024.

• More information will be provided to the applicants by email at leastone week before the interview date.

• Final decision will be made by the Interview Panel after the interview.

Successful candidates will receive a Letter of Offer by 6 September 2024.They are required to accept our offer by 3 pm, Monday, 11 September 2024. Bothstudents and their parents will be notified by email.

Short-listed applicants who are not offered a place in the DSA-JC (Phase2) will be notified via email.

Important Note

Successful DSA-JC candidates will NOT be allowedto participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise. They will also NOT beallowed to transfer to another school after the release of the GCE O-Levelexamination results. They are expected to honour their commitment to theDSA-JC schools and to participate in activities related to the talent selectedin, for the duration of the programme admitted to. Students who do notfulfill their DSA commitment without valid reason may be required to transferout to another school.
