Bonus Chapter - Part 1 (2025)

This is our walkthrough for the Bonus Chapter of Lost Lands 8 Sand Captivity, an mystery puzzle game from Five-BN games. You will gain access to the Bonus Chapter after you complete the main game.

In the bonus chapter you will play as Kiana the granddaughter who has ventured into the Lost Lands for the first time via the portal left open by Susan.

Local Resident

Collection Item: On the rocks on the top left of the scene.

View the fruit tree on the left of the path.

You can check the fruit but not take it. Collect a 'Detail' from the ground under the tree.

Next tap the branch in front of the mound on the right of the path. It will be removed and you will see a door.

The door is locked for now.

Then tap the branch on the top of the mound to remove that also and then view the chimney that is there.

Collect another 'Detail' from the ground on the right. Now tap the path straight ahead to move on to the next area.

Collection Item: against a tree on the left of the scene.

There is a box hanging in the tree, you cannot reach it yet but you need to view it and try to tap on it to allow you to move on.

Then immediately tap the path ahead to move to the tree and wall in the center of the scene.

You will get a New Task

Sign

Collection item: leaning on the wall to the right of the central tree.

Tap to view the tree, you will see that there is a sign missing. Collect from the top of the sign that is there a Colored Detail.

Then view the fence / handrail on the left of the tree.

Collect from this a stick. (if you can't then you need to go back and tap on the box in the tree in the previous area).

Go back to the previous area now and view the box in the tree again. Use the stick to get it down from the tree.

You can then view it and tap on the front to find a puzzle.

Add the 3 details to it to start.

To solve this puzzle you need to slide and arrange all of the tiles to match the colors of the columns and the symbols of the rows.

Once opened you can Read a paper from the previous traveler with information.

Then collect from the box a knife, some bread and an unfinished totem.

View the unfinished totem on the inventory and use the knife on to to try to complete it. The knife is too dull.

Move forward again to the wall. and then view a grey grind stone on the wall to the right. Use the knife on the grind stone and it will be sharpened.

You can then view the totem again and use the knife to carve it.

Back up and view the small chapel stone on the right.

Place the bread and the totem on the stone. This highlights the image and starts a puzzle.

You now need to move the items around so that the ones on the center square will represent the objects in the image.

The image contains a tree, squirrel, bird, horse, fire, hammer, wolf, book, fish, wheat.

Solution:

Once done the panel opens and you can collect a 'Storm Whirligig' and the Road sign plate.

Move forward again to the sign tree and view it so that you can place the missing sign.

Now you can follow the path to the left to move to the next area.

Collection Item: high on the rocks to the right of the cave entrance.

Now view the winch on the ground to the right of the cave

Tap to try to turn it but it is stuck. Then collect from the ground under it another 'detail'

Enter the cave.

Collection Item: on the lower right behind a barrel.

On the right is a pile of straw, view this.

Tap to move the rope, it is stuck, tap a few more times and you will clear the star away to find a round hatch in the floor. Then again to open it.

You try to look inside but it is dark.

Now close this view and tap on a box covered in a cloth on the left of the cave. When it is uncovered view it.

Add the detail to the center and then you can start the puzzle to open it.

Use the arrow controls on the left and right to rotate the center, you need to drop the colored squares into the channels below in the right order.

With the box open you can collect Mirror shard and a Trowel.

Now return to the hole in the ground under the star and use the Mirror shard on it to shine some light down.

You can see a bucket but you cannot reach it yet. Now view the large pot in the center of the cave. Collect from the lower right a Scoop.

Next view the crack on the cave wall on the back left.

River in distance

Use the scoop here to collect a Prosthesis with hook from the ground through the gap. Return to the hole and you can now place the hook on the rope and retrieve the bucket.

Collect from the bucket a Key and a Guide Disc.

Then take the bucket as well.

Now view the large pot again and use the bucket to collect water.

But now Toto the troll appears and you are trapped. Watch the cut scene and you will get a new task
